The Enderlin Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 64-35 loss at the hands of Valley City. Enderlin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-14.
When it comes to explaining why Enderlin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jake Cimbura. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Cimbura scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Chamberlin, who scored four points.
Enderlin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Valley City, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Enderlin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Maple Valley on January 6th. Valley City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oak Grove Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
