After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Terre Haute North Vigo, Martinsville was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. Everything went their way against the North Central Panthers as they made off with  a  12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Artesians, who have now won seven matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Destiny Forler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Forler was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Martinsville got a big performance out of  Aubrie Shepherd, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Nevada Plummer, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Martinsville  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .621. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
With the  win, Martinsville broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8. As for North Central, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record  this season.
 Martinsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Whiteland  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for North Central, they will take on Terre Haute North Vigo at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three games.
