It was fun while it lasted, but Michigan City's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Thursday. They fell 81-74 to the East Chicago Central Cardinals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

Leading East Chicago Central to victory were Dominique Murphy and Jamarie Pollard. Murphy dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards, while Pollard went 9 of 12 on his way to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Murphy has scored at least a third of East Chicago Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Williams, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Michigan City fell to 5-1. As for East Chicago Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
