Canyon Lake's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Lampasas at home by a decisive 53-34 margin. Lampasas was led to victory by Reed Jerome and Jett Walker. Jerome threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, while Walker rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry.
Canyon Lake's loss was their fourth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Boerne-Champion and 7-3 Burnet (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Lampasas, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
