The Jamestown Red Raiders were the 64-28 winner over the Fredonia Hillbillies when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Jamestown took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fredonia on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Jamestown still got an impressive performance from Alyson Canfield, who almost dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 steals.
Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Fredonia, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown will take on Gowanda at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fredonia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Falconer at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
