Basketball Recap: Parkhill Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Parkhill Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 66-15 takedown of Colorado School for the Deaf Blind last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Parkhill Christian Academy Chargers lost 72-49 to the Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool Eagles on Thursday. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Despite the loss, Parkhill Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from JT Gallegos, who posted 29 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gallegos a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Manzanares, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points.

Parkhill Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Parkhill Christian Academy will take on Crescent View Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-54 defeat against Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory on the 31st.
