McPherson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They escaped with a win on Wednesday against the Baldwin Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. Winning may never get old, but the Bullpups sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Baldwin lost, don't look at Cooper Carr. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. That was a full 45.8% of Baldwin's points, marking the third time in a row Carr has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Leo Schoenberger, who had 14 points and five rebounds.

McPherson's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Baldwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

McPherson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-50 victory against Ottawa on the 14th. Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
