The McGregor Mercuries lost against the Cromwell Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. McGregor was beaten by Cromwell 77-26. McGregor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cromwell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emaleigh Olesiak led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 8 assists. Mya Gronner was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
McGregor now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cromwell, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGregor will take on Cherry at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Cherry comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Cromwell will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Proctor at 7:15 p.m. on January 15, 2024.
