Smith Academy is on an 11-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), the Marines a 17-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Smith Academy Fighting 54th will take on the Hamilton Marines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smith Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Saturday, Smith Academy had to suffer through a rough 66-15 loss at the hands of the Golden Eagles.
Meanwhile, Hamilton was beaten by the Panthers 52-18 on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hamilton has scored all season.
Smith Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
Smith Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Marines when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. Will Smith Academy repeat their success, or do the Marines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
