The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 45-19 loss at the hands of Northview. Cloverdale has not had much luck with Northview recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Northview was led to victory by Brynlee Clarke and Carlee Schrader. Clarke scored 15 points, while Schrader scored nine points along with five steals. Clarke has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times she's played. Brenna Stallcop was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cloverdale dropped their record down to 2-21 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
Cloverdale will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Parke Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Parke Heritage is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games. As for Northview, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Indian Creek at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Indian Creek is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
