On Wednesday, Berkeley beat Lucy Beckham 52-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Berkeley.
Berkeley found their leader in underclassman Alaina Carter, who scored 19 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Carter has scored at least 25% of Berkeley's points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Caldwell, who scored 14 points.
Charlotte Newkirk and Lindsey Meslow certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Newkirk scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds, while Meslow scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. Newkirk is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Berkeley's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lucy Beckham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Berkeley will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Dorchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lucy Beckham is on the road again on Saturday and play against Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
