The biggest upset of the week belonged to Seaside, who took down 97th ranked Seaside, 44-38. Jeramy Poyer threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 71 yards in the win.
Garrett Markham of Banks ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Cowapa this season against Yamhill-Carlton last week. Markham scampered for 86 yards on the play and finished with 126 on the day as his team bested the Tigers.
Nick Strange made the biggest impact on defense this week as Astoria topped the Seagulls. The 6-foot-0 junior grabbed two interceptions and recorded one fumble.
Paul Revis had a great week catching the football as Scappoose defeated Tillamook. He caught 14 passes for 271 yards.
Mykah Rosa was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 146 yards on six carries as Banks beat the Cheesemakers.
Scappoose's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Taylor Loss has thrown for 1892 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Revis has 65 catches for 1263 yards. Carson Davison leads the league in rushing with 691 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against Seaside, Loss is short just 108 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
The Fishermen moved up to 111 from 143 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Cowapa. Astoria climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Seagulls 44-38.
