Meanwhile, Deerfield-Windsor came up short against Southland Academy, falling 7-14. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Deerfield-Windsor.
Tiftarea Academy's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Deerfield-Windsor's loss dropped them down to 5-3. In their victory, Tiftarea Academy relied heavily on senior Spence Massey, who rushed for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns. Deerfield-Windsor will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
