Softball Recap: Carson Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Carson entered their tilt with Culver City on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Centaurs. Considering the Colts have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabella Campos looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kiarah Chukwudi, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Ruby Grajeda was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Carson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Carson's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Culver City, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Carson will be taking part in a tournament against Spanish Springs at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday. As for Culver City, they will host Leuzinger at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Centaurs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
