The Springtown Porcupines lost against the Krum Bobcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between Springtown and the Bobcats wasn't particularly close, with the Porcupines falling 49-31. While losing is never fun, Springtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 738th, while the Bobcats are ranked 133rd).
Despite the loss, Springtown still got an impressive performance from Allison Ford, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Springtown and nudges their season record down to 18-16. As for Krum, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springtown will take on the Bulls at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Krum, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Decatur is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
