Great Bridge has gone 8-2 against Hickory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Hawks at 5:45 p.m. Great Bridge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Great Bridge can't be too worried about heading out to take on Hickory: they just beat Cox at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Wildcats blew past the Falcons 12-2 on Saturday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Caden Cinnamond looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Gillespie, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Darian Edge also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Hickory posted their closest victory since April 4th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Grassfield 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won five in a row.
Jaden Maderia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Dom Longo was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Kemick, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Hickory hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive games.
Great Bridge's record is now 13-4. As for Hickory, their record now sits at 13-5.
Great Bridge's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Wildcats have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Hickory, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Great Bridge continue to outrun the ball?
Great Bridge got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April against Hickory by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
