Tambre Williams was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Gabby Brooks-Foster was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Dakota pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Grosse Pointe South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Dakota will head out on the road to face off against L'Anse Creuse North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. L'Anse Creuse North comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Grosse Pointe South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Port Huron presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grosse Pointe South in Michigan (Port Huron is ranked 95th, while Grosse Pointe South is ranked 285th).
