The Spring Lions had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 66-55 win over MacArthur on Friday. Given Spring's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while MacArthur is ranked 1066th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tadarius Wade had a dynamite game for Spring, scoring 16 points. Wade continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bryce Archie was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory got Spring back to even at 16-16. As for MacArthur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 22 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-28 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring will take on Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Spring focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for MacArthur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benjamin Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benjamin Davis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully MacArthur likes a good challenge.
