Despite the defeat, Birchwood Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mi'Chale Bugh dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bugh a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Karsten Wetzel, who posted four points and five steals.
