The Lakes Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Centralia with a sharp 68-42 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Lakes has managed all season.
Samara Oliver was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 23 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Ehmarii Mcchristian was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lakes now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centralia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakes is on the road again on Friday and play against Yelm at 5:30 p.m. on December 29th. As for Centralia, they will challenge Shelton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelton is on a three-game streak of home losses, Centralia an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
