The St. Paul Lutheran Giants posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over Crystal City. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-4.
Mia Sherrill was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Pippa Detring, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
St. Paul Lutheran's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Crystal City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
St. Paul Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday. As for Crystal City, they will head out on the road to challenge Bismarck at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bismarck is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
