The Lakeside Vikings can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 33-7 margin over Stone Mountain. The win was just what Lakeside needed coming off of a 27-3 defeat in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Kyle Davis, who threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kelly Anthony also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Stone Mountain, their loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Druid Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Druid Hills is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Stone Mountain, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Midtown at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Midtown is ranked 403rd, while Stone Mountain is ranked 426th).
