Valentine will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Stuart Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Stuart took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Valentine, who comes in off a win.
Valentine posted their biggest victory yet this season last Tuesday. They blew past Cody-Kilgore, posting a 47-8 victory at home. The win was just what Valentine needed coming off of a 59-12 defeat in their prior contest.
Kinsey Buechle continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Sprenger, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Stuart's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Elgin/Pope John at home and fell 70-35. Stuart has not had much luck with Elgin/Pope John recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Valentine's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Stuart, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Valentine took their victory against Stuart when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 50-26. Does Valentine have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stuart turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
