Saugus has gone a perfect 10-0 against Golden Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Centurions will challenge the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Saugus has 11 straight wins, Golden Valley has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Saugus is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hart with a sharp 20-1 victory on Thursday. Considering the Centurions have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Riley Nelson looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Amelia Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Avery Salazar was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Saugus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Golden Valley came up short against Canyon on Thursday and fell 7-2.
Rohan Elhamamsy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ilana Watson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Saugus pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Golden Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
Golden Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Saugus has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Golden Valley, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Saugus' sizable advantage in that area, the Grizzlies will need to find a way to close that gap.
Saugus took their win against Golden Valley in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Centurions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
