The Helena Huskies lost against the Briarwood Christian Lions back in November of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Helena took a 34-18 bruising from Briarwood Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Helena has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Helena lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mallory Rhodes. Despite the final result, she scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rhodes has scored all season.
Helena has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Briarwood Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helena will challenge Northridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Moody at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Moody is on a six-game streak of home wins, Briarwood Christian a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
