The St. Anthony Bulldogs came tearing into Thursday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 80-67 win over Brownstown. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Brownstown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dayana Haslett, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Seabaugh, who scored 17 points.
St. Anthony has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Brownstown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anthony will challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brownstown, they will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
