The Harris County Tigers and the Jefferson Dragons squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Harris County Tigers had to settle for second. They were the victim of a tough 35-12 loss at the hands of the Dragons. Harris County's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Harris County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mataye Youman, who rushed for 164 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Sammy Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jefferson, rushing for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
Harris County's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Jefferson, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.
Harris County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Creekside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
