The Vikings came up short against the Chargers on Friday, falling 11-0. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Northeast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelvin Saurez-Rojas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.
Meanwhile, Abraham Lincoln got themselves on the board against Maritime Academy Charter on Friday, but Maritime Academy Charter never followed suit. They blew past the Seadogs 15-0. Considering the Railsplitters have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Abraham Lincoln got a massive performance out of Joshua Hernandez-Mercedes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Shawn Suero, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Abraham Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Abraham Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Everything went Northeast's way against Abraham Lincoln when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Northeast made off with a 17-1 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Railsplitters turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
