After losing to the Mojave Rattlers the last time they met, the Durango Trailblazers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Durango enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over the Rattlers on Friday. Durango pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rattlers cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Durango to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amarie Riley, who scored 18 points. Milica Djukic was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the defeat, Mojave had strong showings from Jac'omoire Fahie, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, and Azzareya Huerta, who scored ten points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fahie has scored all season.
Durango's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Mojave, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durango will take on the Miners at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mojave, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
