The  win continues a trend for the Mustangs & Fillies in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.
Kouts also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Katelyn Kleckner gave up a  run (which was  unearned)  on two hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  Cassie Breitzke was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  she has  hit this season. Another player making a difference was  Reese Carden, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run.
 Boone Grove's record now sits at 3-7. As for Kouts, their record is now 2-3.
 Boone Grove took their  victory against Kouts  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  10-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
