A Season-Best Effort from Robert Grenga Leads Ponaganset over Hope/St. Patrick Academy
Ponaganset was led to victory by Robert Grenga, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Grenga threw for 119 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown.
The victory for Ponaganset keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Grenga and Ponaganset will host Rogers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Soulliere Made His Presence Known in Pilgrim's 31-6 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Jacob Soulliere stepped things up a notch to give Pilgrim the 'W'. Soulliere was dynamite, rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
For the season, Soulliere has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 92.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 35 rushing yards per game.

Jerry Pimental Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Thursday, Mt. Hope got the W thanks in part to Jerry Pimental playing the best football he has all season. Pimental rushed for 203 yards while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.6). His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Mt. Hope pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They and Stafford/Somers/East Windsor will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
