Mark Morris' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past R.A. Long 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won 14 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Prairie got the win against Kelso on Thursday by a conclusive 9-0. The Falcons are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the seventh game they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Mackenzie Moore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ashlee Porter was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Kellie Cady was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Prairie pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Mark Morris, their win bumped their record up to 19-0.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mark Morris hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .436. However, it's not like Prairie struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
