Juniata Christian's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 51-18 loss at the hands of Columbia County Christian. Juniata Christian lost against Columbia County Christian in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 78-34 score last time.
Columbia County Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clay Farley, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Farley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Beishline, who scored 11 points along with three blocks.
Juniata Christian bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Columbia County Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Juniata Christian will head out on the road to face off against Belleville Mennonite at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belleville Mennonite is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Columbia County Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Triboro Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
