The Box Elder Bees scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 69-36 victory over Bonneville. With Box Elder ahead 46-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Kaydence Barber was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Thurgood, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Baylee Andreasen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sidnee Geerdes was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Box Elder and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Bonneville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Box Elder will take on the Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Clearfield is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Bonneville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Vikings at 5:15 p.m. Averaging 54.36 points so far this season, Viewmont's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Lakers better be ready for a challenge.
