The Northeast Jones Tigers will be playing at home against the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forrest County Agricultural took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Northeast Jones, who comes in off a win.
Northeast Jones fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 10-9 win over Mendenhall.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Forrest County Agricultural was not quite Lawrence County's equal in the second half on Thursday. Forrest County Agricultural fell to Lawrence County 36-31. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite their loss, Forrest County Agricultural saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Omarion Reed, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Csaszar, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Northeast Jones' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
