Mitch Martin and Cevaughn Caldwell provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Annville-Cleona. The connection was good for 67 yards, the longest such play in Lancaster-Lebanon 3 this season.
Garden Spot extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Dutchmen, 43-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Spartans.
Garden Spot's dynamic duo of Ben Swarr and Caldwell proved tough for Annville-Cleona to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Swarr threw for 35 yards and 35 touchdowns and Caldwell had 72 yards receiving. Seth Rehrer helped Garden Spot's passing attack out by catching one ball for 35 yards.
Kris Trimby was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 110 yards as Donegal bested Terry Lehman's team. Dylan Maxwell also contributed to the rushing game with 98 yards on the ground.
Josh Farrell made the biggest impact on defense this week as Pequea Valley fell to Columbia. The 6-foot-1 defensive back pulled down one interception, forced one fumble and recorded one fumble.
5-foot-11 quarterback Martin of the Spartans is the league leader in passing yards this season with 710. He has also thrown nine touchdowns. On the ground, the Indians' Trimby has rushed for 745 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Adam Shoemaker. The Eastern Lebanon County star has 10 catches for 264 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Braves take on Donegal. At the moment, Pequea Valley is in third, while Jeff Polites' team is in second.
The Crimson Tide moved up to 414 from 443 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 22-0 win over Evan Breisblatt's team helped Columbia improve its standing.
