The biggest upset of the week belonged to Newton, who took down 112th ranked Dallas Center-Grimes, 17-7.
Grinnell extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week by beating Saydel, 76-8. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when South Tama County takes on Boone. As it stands, the Trojans are in third, while the Toreadors are in second.
Boone was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Iowa Falls 35-28. Mark Camenisch's team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
