After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Daphne, Fairhope was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Foley Lions with a sharp 14-4 victory. Considering the Pirates have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kailyn Powell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of LK Prince, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Fairhope is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Foley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
