Round Valley hasn't had much luck against St. Johns recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Elks will look to defend their home court against the Redskins at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Round Valley comes in on seven and St. Johns on five.
Round Valley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 49) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Holbrook 42-40. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Addison Poston produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 24 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelci Walker, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Round Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Johns beat Fountain Hills 42-36 on Saturday.
St. Johns found their leader in sophomore Alyvia Richardson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points along with six boards and five steals. Richardson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Abby Wagoner was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds.
Round Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for St. Johns, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Round Valley has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 39.7 boards per game. However, it's not like St. Johns struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Round Valley couldn't quite finish off St. Johns in their previous meeting back in February and fell 44-42. Thankfully for the Elks, Evelyn Andrus (who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
