Marcellus is on a 14-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Chittenango is on a five-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will welcome the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Marcellus will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Jordan-Elbridge on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past the Eagles 11-1. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Marcellus has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Chittenango struggles in that department as they've averaged .477. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Marcellus might still be hurting after the 17-1 loss they got from Chittenango in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
