Ethen Garay and Trey Scheler were among the main playmakers for Cheyenne Wells as the former rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries and the latter gained 116 total yards and four touchdowns. Scheler is absolutely dominating the solo tackle category: he's posted at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Perry Chadwick was another key contributor, throwing for 118 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Cheyenne Wells' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Garay was especially locked on to La Veta's QB and sacked him four times.
Granada's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cheyenne Wells, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Granada against Cheyenne Wells when the teams last played back in September as the team secured a 58-24 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Cheyenne Wells' Scheler, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 70 receiving yards.
