Meanwhile, Queen's Grant scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Grace Academy 85-59. Queen's Grant might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 26 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Garrett Morgan, who scored 42 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Queen's Grant's points. Another player making a difference was Christian Shamberger, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Valor Preparatory Academy bumped their record down to 3-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Queen's Grant, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Valor Preparatory Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 19.6 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Queen's Grant, though, as they've been averaging only 32.2 rebounds per game. Given Valor Preparatory Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Queen's Grant will need to find a way to close that gap.
