The Kaycee Buckaroos lost against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kaycee was beaten by Rocky Mountain 53-14. While losing is never fun, Kaycee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Rocky Mountain is ranked ninth).
Rocky Mountain was led to victory by Lauren Bassett and MacKelle Moss. Bassett scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds, while Moss scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keylee Christiansen, who scored 9 points.
Kaycee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rocky Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Kaycee is on the road again on Saturday and play against St. Stephens. As for Rocky Mountain, they will face off against Wright at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
