Taylor is a perfect 10-0 against Finneytown since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Taylor will be strutting in after a victory while Finneytown will be coming in after a defeat.
Taylor will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Madeira on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS.

Ellie Stafford made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Emma King was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Molly Ferguson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Taylor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Finneytown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-5 to Indian Hill.
J'Uana Steele made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Taylor Bush was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Finneytown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Finneytown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Taylor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Finneytown, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Taylor's hitters?
Everything went Taylor's way against Finneytown in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Taylor made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
