If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Glacier Peak. On Friday they take on Snohomish at Snohomish HS at 7:00 PM. Glacier Peak will be looking to build upon the 28-14 win they picked up against Snohomish the last time they played.
Glacier Peak gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They steamrollered Edmonds-Woodway 52-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-0.
Meanwhile, Snohomish had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 34-63 punch to the gut against Marysville-Pilchuck. Snohomish were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-28.
Glacier Peak's win lifted them to 1-0 while Snohomish's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Glacier Peak's success rolls on or if Snohomish are able to steal their positive momentum.
