The Lone Peak Knights will challenge the Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lone Peak's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Lone Peak didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Corner Canyon by a score of 9-5 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Bowen Barnes, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Landon Fry also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Lone Peak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corner Canyon only posted a batting average of .290.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian). They put the hurt on Valhalla with a sharp 13-2 win on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Christian got a massive performance out of Chase Togerson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Molina, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Lone Peak's record now sits at 5-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lone Peak hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
