Lincoln Southwest is 0-3 against Bellevue West since February of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will be playing at home against the Bellevue West Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. Lincoln Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Bellevue West likes a good challenge.
If Lincoln Southwest beats Bellevue West with 79 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Lincoln Southwest enjoyed a cozy 79-64 win over Millard West on Friday. The Silver Hawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Makkiah Sanders was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 16 en route to 28 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Uzziah Sanders, who went 8 of 12 to rack up 21 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Bellevue West had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Bearcats with points to spare, taking the game 78-63. That's two games straight that the Thunderbirds have won by exactly 15 points.
Lincoln Southwest better keep an eye on Robert Garcia. He was instrumental in Bellevue West's win, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards. Garcia has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Bryce Johnson Jr was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points along with eight assists and seven boards.
Lincoln Southwest's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Bellevue West, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-7.
Tuesday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Lincoln Southwest has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 34.6% of their three-pointers per game. However, it's not like Bellevue West struggles in that department as they've nailed 37.3% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lincoln Southwest was taken down by Bellevue West 84-53 when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Thankfully for Lincoln Southwest, David Nuor (who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
