The Gilmer County Titans lost against the Roane County Raiders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Gilmer County took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roane County. Gilmer County has struggled against Roane County recently, as their game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Gilmer County still got an impressive performance from Tyler Bush, who scored 17 points. Jacob Mick was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Gilmer County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Roane County, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Gilmer County will take on Wirt County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wirt County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday. As for Roane County, they will head out on the road to face off against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
