Lake View is 2-8 against Sweetwater since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lake View Chiefs will head out on the road to square off against the Sweetwater Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Lake View pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Levelland.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Joseph Delgado, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Braylon White was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sweetwater pushed their score all the way to 68 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 94-68 loss at the hands of Estacado. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (65), Sweetwater still had to take the loss.
Lake View has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Sweetwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.
Lake View came up short against Sweetwater in their previous meeting back in January, falling 73-66. Can Lake View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
