The Piper Bengals and the Boyd Anderson Cobras squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Piper Bengals had to settle for second. Their tough 51-31 defeat to the Cobras might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Piper has scored all season.
Boyd Anderson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Florea, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Silvera, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Piper and nudges their season record down to 5-17. As for Boyd Anderson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.
Piper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boyd Anderson is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Boyd Anderson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Monday.
